Get To Know Melissa
I understand personally how deeply trauma can affect our lives and the long-lasting effects it can have. My lived experience as a biracial black woman shapes my ability to work with diverse communities, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals. I bring compassion and a holistic lens to our work that honors the connection between mind, body, spirit, and environment.
Drawing from my work in community mental health clinics and psychiatric facilities. I have developed a flexible, intuitive approach to help each person facilitate their own healing. I recognize that mental and emotional challenges are deeply connected to the body, and I work through a body-based lens using talk therapy, mindfulness, and spirituality.
Together, we will explore the blocks you face, discover your strengths, and create a path toward healing and growth. I am also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Mindfulness meditation teacher, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I'm passionate about supporting individuals on their healing journey. If you're ready to take steps toward positive change, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
